Call for Abstracts: International Conference on Individual Monitoring, IM2020

19-24 April, 2020, Budapest, Hungary

The International Conference on Individual Monitoring is considered to be the main conference dealing with the discipline of individual monitoring of ionising radiation. The conference series is initiated by EURADOS and organized every 5 years for the purpose of facilitating the knowledge sharing, providing opportunity to exchange experiences and propagate innovations and new developments in individual monitoring methods in the fields of medicine, research and industry. The next event (IM2020) of this prestigious conference series will be held from 19 to 24 April 2020, in Budapest, Hungary. The conference will be jointly organised by EURADOS (http://www.eurados.org ) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Centre for Energy Research (MTA EK, www.energia.mta.hu).
The programme will include invited lectures given by eminent professionals, oral presentations and poster sessions of contributed papers of participants as well as refreshment courses. Professionals and young researchers are encouraged to participate and present their work related to the aspects of individual monitoring of ionizing radiation.
The IM2020 Conference will cover all aspects of individual monitoring of ionising radiation with topics including:

  • New developments in external dosimetry
  • New developments in internal dosimetry
  • Individual monitoring in medicine, research and industry (including NORM)
  • Computational methods in individual monitoring
  • Dose assessment for exposures in workplaces and homes
  • Monitoring and dose assessment in emergency exposure situations
  • Exposure to radon and its progeny
  • Air- and spacecraft crew dosimetry
  • Individual monitoring services, quality assurance
  • Type testing, intercomparisons and results
  • International and European standards and recommendations
  • Education, training and networks on individual monitoring

The Scientific Committee is pleased to invite experts of these topics to submit their contribution to the IM2020 Conference through the online submission system http://www.im2020.org. Abstracts can be submitted for oral and poster presentations as well.
Deadline for abstract submission for each type of presentation is: 30 September 2019.
