To allow EURADOS to continue as a sustainable network in radiation dosimetry, it became necessary for EURADOS to change its legal status. The installation of EURADOS as a registered society in Germany ("e. V." which stands for "eingetragener Verein") was found as the best solution. This allows to maintain the tax privileged status, to restrict the liability of its members and to provide a solid legal basis for the future of EURADOS. The foundation act for "EURADOS e. V.", which included a revision of the EURADOS Constitution took place at the 20^th General Assembly (Paris, January 2008).
