Dear Colleague,
Several EU laboratories operate expensive, often unique, research facilities, which are not necessarily well known by others. EURADOS is undertaking the collection and dissemination of information on resources within the EU regarding irradiation facilities and special equipment for dosimetry research. The Irradiation Facilities Working Group (WG-1), funded under the 5th framework programme, collects the technical documentation describing their characteristics as well as administrative information how end-users can have access to this equipment for the purpose of their research programmes.
You may be interested in retrieving information on facilities at your disposal in Europe. A simple database query form is now available via a link on the EURADOS website.
At the time of writing this letter, only very few facilities are recorded in the database. If you are running a facility of your own and think its use may be interesting for other researchers in Radiation Dosimetry, EURADOS would therefore like to invite you to participate in this project by registering information on your facility in the database.
Send an e-mail with a one-line description to Thomas Otto from CERN Radiation Protection Group. (thomas.otto@cern.ch) in order to receive a personal login and password. The registration of information is very straightforward and user-friendly.
We are looking forward to welcome you to the EURADOS Irradiation Facilities database as a guest for queries or as a contact person with interesting information on the research facility in your institute.
With best regards,
on behalf of EURADOS WG-1 (Irradiation facilities):
